Brief (around 300 words) personality outline of your character:

Orochimaru is twisted beyond words. His central motive, his purpose in existence, is to become the perfect ninja -- which to his mind means learning all possible ninjutsu arts and techniques. He has no care or concern for others in any way, shape, or form; he cheerfully sacrifices lives or conducts grisly experiments for the sake of his learning, or even just because he desires to. Though he attracted many loyal servitors, this was simply because he gave them exactly what they wanted in return for that service. He cared nothing for them, sacrificing them without hesitation or regret, even playfully encouraging his right-hand man to betray him.

Hi is, frankly, kind of a dick. Most of his appearances involves him screwing around with someone in the course of furthering his goals -- although sometimes he screws around just for his own amusement or to take advantage of an unplanned opportunity in turn. He thrives on chaos and conflict, cheerfully provoking these whenever he can. He is supremely and justifiably confident in his own strength and planning; though he has suffered serious setbacks in his plans and been caught off-guard on many occasions, he invariably rallied to recover his position every time but one.

Despite this confident, jackass facade, Orochimaru does harbor one inner emotion: hate. He hates his home village and the Third Hokage; he hates Itachi, though he tries to play this off.

A wiki! Orochimaru is taken from the beginning of the Itachi Pursuit Arc, just before Sasuke betrays him.

So. No hideouts, no minions, no resources. Not even Kabuto. Instead, some of his more obnoxious acquaintances, already prepared to turn this mindless mass of people against him.

Orochimaru folded his arms as he looked over the large wasteland they insisted on calling a 'City'. One finger absently traced the summoning contract tattooed on his left arm. "Well, Manda... it looks like you were killed along with everyone else who isn't here. I hope that doesn't make you feel too pathetic." A smile curved his lips.

There would be other servants. Others would come. All he had to do was give them what they wanted, after all...

Orochimaru's powers are Naruto-verse ninjutsu. As a dedicated student of ninjutsu, it is assumed he has access to the majority of common or conventional techniques displayed in-universe, though he never uses them openly. This include common things such as water-walking, body-replacement techniques, doppelganger summoning, disguise techniques, and so forth.

He also has a vast number of custom techniques:

Body Shedding: Orochimaru can regurgitate a new body out of his old one, completely healed, with all clothing and equipment.

Eight Branches Technique: Orochimaru (being no longer human) transforms himself into a massive eight-headed, eight-tailed hydra of legendary strength. Orochimaru's human body can in fact emerge from any of the mouths of this snake to attack as well.

Five-Elements Seal: This disrupts the victim's ability to use chakra. It is extremely difficult to remove.

Snake Summoning techniques: These are not 'literal' summoning techniques, in that they seem to create snakes out of chakra rather than bringing them from elsewhere. Orochimaru can summon anywhere from one to thousands of snakes to attack a foe, defend against attack, bind or capture, or generally serve any utility in combat.

Leech All Creation: Attack Prevention Technique: By merging into a surface, Orochimaru can avoid damage from attacks and move stealthily.

Gathering of the Snakes: If body parts are severed or separated from Orochimaru, snakes emerge from each separated part and reconnect them.

Cursed Seals: With a bite, Orochimaru is capable of applying a cursed seal on a victim's body. These seals forcibly draw chakra from the user's body, thereby giving them a much greater chakra level than normal, but the majority of victims die from the initial application. Should they survive, the seal appears as a tattoo on their body. If the seal is activated by chakra use, the marks spread all over the user's body.

A special pill can be used to force the body to adjust to the full power of the Curse Seal, but this will kill the person unless they are in a state of temporary death during the process. If the person survives, they can use the second state of the seal, which causes them to physically transform in some way.

This process injects Orochimaru's chakra into the victim. It also corrodes their mind and body, making them more susceptible to his influence. There are two forms of the Seal, Heaven and Earth, although the difference between them is never really explained beyond the cosmetic.

Soft Physique Modification: Orochimaru can dislocate or separate joints, then move or lengthen his appendages with his chakra. Again, he does this snake-thematically.

Summoning: Impure World Resurrection: Reviving the dead. Take some DNA from the intended revivee, sacrifice a living person and prepare their body as a vessel, and the dead person is back in a somewhat decayed corpse. Plant a talisman in their brain and they regain full health and strength, along with surrendering as much control to the summoner as he desires. Nothing can kill them; all damage immediately regenerates. The technique can be released, the souls can be vanished, or if the resurrected person still has some personality left, they can attain emotional closure. Yes, I am perfectly okay with this technique NOT WORKING on the ship (though preparing an army of vanquished foes would be an interesting thing to happen, wouldn't it?).

Summoning: Rashōmon and Triple Rashōmon: Orochimaru summons demonic gates which absorb or deflect attacks.

Vanishing Facial Copy Technique: By stealing a face off a corpse, the user can perfectly assume that face as their own. The face may become damaged from injury, and can be torn off and reapplied at will. On the ship, Orochimaru will be using this to appear as himself, since his actual face is in fact the body he is inhabiting. He will also shed this at will for a disguise.

Wind Release: Great Breakthrough: A massive blast of wind.

SPECIAL: Living Corpse Reincarnation: Orochimaru is no longer human, thanks to his endless experimentation into immortality. His true form is, in fact, a giant white snake composed of countless smaller snakes. When the snake ingests its prey, the victim is brought into Orochimaru's psyche, where he buries them, dominating their body and claiming it (and all its biological powers) for his own.

This power only works every three years or so, and at the end of that time the stolen body begins to break down catastrophically.

Because I'm taking Orochimaru from just before the use of this power becomes absolutely necessary, I'm requesting permission for him to use it immediately after being released from his pod, on a hapless NPC that just happened to be standing too close. This will have the benefit of taking the power completely out of play for the duration of the game, as well as making him nice and nasty and giving him a disguise.


Genjutsu: Orochimaru can create powerful illusions in the minds of others for various purposes. This can include gruesomely real visions of the victim's death. These are not perceptible from the outside.

Orichmaru is extremely intelligent (rated among the top ranks of all ninjas). Although physical combat is not his strong point, he is nevertheless quite skilled at it as well.
